After the game, Spahic and a number of others became involved in a row with stewards on the sideline, apparently prompted by the Leverkusen player trying to bring friends into the dressing rooms.
The stewards refused to allow the men through and pushing and shoving between the two groups culminated in Spahic appearing to headbutt one of the stewards.
Spahic could now be facing a long ban and further sanctions, with police in Germany reported to be investigating the incident.
You can see the incident unfold on the footage recorded by fans in the stand; watch from the 1:00 minute mark to see the alleged headbutt.
