The MLS is very excited about Stevie G coming to play

Although we think they may be over-estimating the friendship between the Liverpool captain and our own Robbie Keane.

LA Galaxy and Major League Soccer(MLS) are overjoyed to have persuaded Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard to join them and that’s nice - Reds fans want him to get a good reception wherever he goes.

The MLS retweeted the news that he had officially joined the LA side, and then added their own welcome.

They also had basketball star Kobe Bryant welcoming Stevie.

But then they went a little too far - we think they are seriously over-estimating the friendship between the Liverpool captain and our own Robbie Keane.

For the unaware - “Bae” is a term of endearment, often referring to your boyfriend or girlfriend.
