Vital trio still missing for City

Manchester City are still without captain Vincent Kompany (calf/hamstring) and strikers Edin Dzeko (calf) and Sergio Aguero (knee) for their FA Cup third-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

Midfielder Fernando is available again after suspension but Yaya Toure could be involved for the final time before joining up with Ivory Coast for the African Cup of Nations.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has hinted that second-choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero is likely to keep his place for another game with England number one Joe Hart being rested.
