An 18-year-old Galway FC midfielder is set to make a move to the Premier League, according to newspaper reports today.

The Daily Mail reports that QPR are in talks with Galway to sign Ryan Manning with the player expected to make the move to the London club.

Spurs had apparently also shown an interest in the player, but he looks likely to join Harry Redknapp’s side.

Manning can play both in midfield and in the forwards. QPR’s Charlie Austin has been one of the League’s highest goal scorers this season, but Redknapp is keen to have other attacking options in the side.

Manning played for Ireland in the UEFA European U19 Championships qualifying rounds last month.

The midfielder only joined Galway this year, having previously played in the League of Ireland First Division with Mervue United.
