West Ham player fined for assault
West Ham defender James Tomkins has been fined £3,500 for assaulting a police officer.
The Premier League footballer pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable, being drunk and disorderly in a public place and obstructing a constable outside the Sugar Hut nightclub on the night of December 21.
