Two debut for United as Hernandez starts up front

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal handed debuts to Jesse Lingard and Tyler Blackett as he looked to start his reign with a win over Swansea.

Wayne Rooney captained the team for the first time while Javier Hernandez started up front in the place of Robin van Persie, who is still lacking fitness following his late return from the World Cup.

Summer signings Lukasz Fabianski and Gylfi Sigurdsson started for Swansea, but fellow new boy Bafetimbi Gomis had to settle for a place on the bench.
