Wigan get taste of their own giant-killing medicine

Wigan have enjoyed plenty of giant-killing acts in the FA Cup over the last two seasons but were on the wrong end of a Capital One Cup upset tonight when going down 2-1 at League Two Burton in the first round.

All looked to be going according to plan for the Latics when Marc-Antoine Fortune put them ahead on 27 minutes, but Dominic Knowles equalised in first-half stoppage time and Stuart Beavon bagged what turned out to be the winner soon after the interval.
