Amazing friends help deaf and blind Brazilian enjoy World Cup

A video's surfaced of a couple of fantastic friends using a replica pitch, sign language and more to allow their pal experience a live World Cup game.

It is Brazil and Croatia in the opening match of this year’s competition, and these two Brazilians decided their friend Carlos should enjoy the football with them. The only problem is that he is both deaf and blind.

Not to be deterred, they created a replica board with raised lines. His sighted friend watched the game and recreated the movements on the board with his hands, and Carlos held his wrists to follow the action.

They also use communicated with sign language spelled into Carlos’ hand so he knew exactly what was going on in real time.

The other friend sat behind Carlos, giving him extra information through strokes and rubs of his back.

This heartwarming video ends with Carlos signing his joy at being able to experience the whole match as it happened.

These two are definite nominees for friends of the year!
