Terry issue causes major row between Dunphy and Cunningham

Eamon Dunphy and Kenny Cunningham seriously disagreed about John Terry’s importance for England.

During last night’s RTÉ World Cup coverage the question of whether or not Terry should have gone to Rio with the England team was discussed and Dunphy and Cunningham are not going to agree to differ on this one.

Dunphy’s face was stony while Cunningham outlined the reasons why he bleieves it was right to leave Terry at home.

Dunphy then launched into a passionate defence of the player. Poor Didi Hamann doesn’t know where to look and Cunningham’s face suggests he is not being won over by the Eamon’s reasoning.

The disagreement continued to get increasing tetchy with Cunningham resorting to the classic politician’s line, “Just let me finish Eamon.”

Dunphy decides he’s not arguing anymore abruptly announcing: “That’s enough.”

Host Darragh Maloney looks only too happy to change the subject saying, “ok, let’s move on.”

All credit to RTÉ Sports department for the very diplomatic title for the clip on YouTube: ‘Dunphy and Cunnigham disagree on England.’
