Nolan calls for Allardyce backing

West Ham captain Kevin Nolan has thrown his support behind Sam Allardyce amid suggestions of a change of manager at the club and called for his long-time boss to be backed this summer.
Rumours have circulated that the Hammers are to dispense with Allardyce due to the supportersâ dislike of a his direct style of play.
But Nolan, who came to prominence under Allardyce at Bolton, believes West Ham are fortunate to have their manager.
âItâs been one of those seasons but itâs great to know that weâll be back in the top flight next year, which has been the gafferâs main priority,â he told the clubâs website.
âNow that we know we are going to be in the Premier League Iâm convinced that thereâs only one way that weâre going to go and thatâs to get better and better as the years go on.
âThis yearâs been really difficult with injuries, obviously a few suspensions as well along the way, but itâs nice to be able to put this season to bed now and look forward to next season.
âI really think that given the backing in the post season and then pre-season that we can push on next year and do the business.
âIf we didnât have the squad we have, or the lads weâve got here then I donât think weâd have survived and I donât think many other teams would have survived with everything thatâs been thrown at us.
âItâs credit to the gaffer and all the boys for making sure that we are here now and for making sure that weâre going to enjoy another great year in the Premier League next season.
âWeâre going to be a lot better and Iâm sure that weâll be in and around that top 10.â
