Brazilian football team attempts to invent new wall, fails

Utterly bizarre.

In one of the oddest sports clips we've seen, Brazilian team Ponte Preta decided to redefine what a defensive wall is - by having a player lie down across the back of his teams' legs.

One can only assume it was an attempt to block any shot that slipped under the wall, between his teammates' legs.

Apart from the ridiculous spectacle of the grown man crawling like a worm as he adjusted his position, and the fact that any such errant ball would hit him hard in the face or body, there's another problem that he didn't consider.

Which is exactly what happened: the kick-taker from opposing team Parana ignored the nonsense all together and blasted he ball into the top left corner with ease.

Oh well.
