Rooney could return for United

Manchester United are hopeful that striker Wayne Rooney will be fit to face Hull tomorrow night.

Rooney sat out the 1-0 defeat to Sunderland as he was struggling with a stomach bug and groin injury, but he could feature against Steve Bruce’s side.

Interim player-manager Ryan Giggs could name himself in the match day squad for the final home game of the season, but goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard (illness) and defender Rafael (thigh) are doubts.
