Michael D will be shouting for England in the World Cup

As you know, President Michael D Higgins has been in England for the last couple of days to promote ties between Ireland and the UK, and he's been doing a pretty good job of it.

Last night, in a speech to London’s business elite at the city's Guildhall, in the spirit of reconciliation he announced that he would be supporting England in the upcoming World Cup, because Ireland can't be there.
