Pardew asks for personal hearing

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has requested a personal hearing after accepting Football Association misconduct charge.

The 52-year-old, as expected, has decided not to contest the charge levelled against him for head-butting Hull midfielder David Meyler during last Saturday’s 4-1 Barclays Premier League victory at the KC Stadium.
