Chelsea have confirmed that there were two incidents involving supporters in Istanbul on yesterday evening, with police warning it is “not safe” for fans to use the Metro to and from the Champions League last-16 clash with Galatasaray.

A source with knowledge of the situation said that two Blues supporters were believed to have been stabbed following an earlier altercation in the Turkish city.
