Everton attacker Naismith cleared to play

Steven Naismith has been given the all-clear to play for Everton when they travel to Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday.

The Scottish forward was substituted during last weekend’s FA Cup victory over Swansea after taking a bang to the head but has shown no ill effects.

On-loan striker Romelu Lukaku has recovered from an ankle problem but is ineligible against his parent club and joins long-term absentees Bryan Oviedo, Darron Gibson and Aroune Kone on the sidelines.

Provisional squad: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Alcaraz, Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar, Naismith, Robles, Hibbert, Stones, McGeady, Osman, Deulofeu, Traore.
