Hoolahan: I want to leave Canaries

Norwich midfielder Wes Hoolahan stressed his desire for a move away from Carrow Road last night after seeing his transfer request rejected.

The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international – who had been the subject of a bid from Aston Villa, driven by former Canaries boss Paul Lambert – asked to leave yesterday, but was swiftly turned down.
