Toronto face competition from 'top four' Premier League clubs for Defoe

Toronto FC head coach Ryan Nelsen claims his club face competition from “top-four” Barclays Premier League clubs in the battle to sign England striker Jermain Defoe.
The Major League Soccer outfit are reportedly poised to sign the 31-year-old from Tottenham on Monday with the Toronto Sun claiming Defoe “will be unveiled as TFC’s newest Designated Player”.
