FIFA president Sepp Blatter has described working conditions in Qatar as “unacceptable” as pressure builds on football’s governing body to take action over concerns relating to the construction of the stadia to host the 2022 World Cup finals.

Blatter met International Trade Union Confederation chief Michael Sommer on Wednesday to discuss the abuse of migrant workers in Qatar, which has been brought into focus by a 166-page report released by human rights group Amnesty International at the weekend.
