Also… ref is a tool.

So last week Al Nahdha and Al Ittihad were playing in the Saudi first division. Not something that generally attracts global attention but a little incident midway though is going viral, and deservedly so.

At some point in the game the Al-Nahda 'keeper ( Taisir al-Antaif, we are told) was lining up for a kick out but hesitated because his boot was untied.

So one of the opposing forwards steps forward and … ties his laces for him.

Whereupon the ref (boo! hiss!) blows up for a free against the Al-Nahda netminder, claiming 'timewasting'.
