Duo banned for Ajax clash

Scott Brown and Nir Biton are suspended for Celtic’s Champions League Group H clash with Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA on Wednesday night.

Georgios Samaras (knee) and Kris Commons (hamstring) both missed Saturday’s Scottish Premiership game against Dundee United, while Mikael Lustig came off the bench having been troubled by a hip problem.

The trio will be assessed at training but assistant manager Johan Mjallby is confident that all three will be available.
