Interim Republic of Ireland boss Noel King said he was delighted with the efforts of his players in tonight's 3-0 loss to Germany, and reacted furiously to criticism from television pundit Eamonn Dunphy.

He said: “Real football people know what went on tonight. We got to the 89th minute and it was 2-0.
