Demichelis facing six weeks out

Manchester City have confirmed defender Martin Demichelis is set to be out of action for around six weeks due to a knee injury sustained in training.

A statement on City’s official website said that a scan on the 32-year-old Argentinian had revealed ligament damage but that surgery is not required.
