Irish stars to make New York trip

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni is determined to take his strongest possible squad to New York next week at the end of a long season.

Trapattoni and his players are due to fly out to the United States at the weekend after Friday night’s World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands to finish their campaign with a friendly against Spain.
