Karl Sheppard hit a late equaliser as Shamrock Rovers salvaged a point from a 1-1 draw - the Hoops' seventh stalemate of the campaign - with champions Sligo Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.

Despite dominating the first half, Trevor Crolly's side fell behind ten minutes into the second when Sligo midfielder David Cawley punished dreadfully sloppy defending to shoot past Barry Murphy.
