Captain Dave Mulcahy salvaged a big point for Bohemians as they came from behind to utterly frustrate title contenders St. Patrick’s Athletic in snatching a 1-1 draw at Richmond Park.

Save for an early chance shot into the side netting by Bohs’ Chris Lyons, St. Pat’s dominated with striker Anto Flood bringing a one-handed save from visiting keeper Dean Delany before Liam Buckley’s side took a deserved lead on the half hour.

John Russell and Ian Bermingham worked a short corner on the left and Flood availed of poor goalkeeping by Delany, who misjudged the cross, to head home at the back post.

Bohs continued to ride their luck throughout the second half, in which St. Pat’s struck the woodwork twice, before striking for their equaliser on 71 minutes. Michael Barker made room splendidly to bring a tip over save from Brendan Clarke from outside the area with the inspirational Mulcahy heading home Ryan McEvoy's corner.

Cork City scored twice late on to beat Bray Wanderers 2-1 at the Carlisle Grounds.

Bray took the lead after 25 minutes, defender Kevin Knight heading home a cross form the right by Eoin Hyland. Pat Devlin’s side them dominated until half-time with Marty Waters hitting the woodwork twice.

Cork rallied late on and levelled from an 87th minute Ian Turner penalty after defender David Webster handled inside the area.

Then, three minutes into added time, Cork, who’ve been on the receiving end of so many late goals themselves this season, struck for their winner.

Bray keeper Darren Quigley could only parry a shot from Turner and Shane Duggan’s header from the rebound trickled over the line.
