AIRTRICITY LEAGUE: Sligo make it seven on the trot

Anthony Elding rediscovered his goal touch, hitting a brace, to make it a magnificent seven straight league wins for Sligo Rovers as they beat second-bottom Shelbourne 2-0 at the Showgrounds.
The win maintains the champions' one hundred per cent record and five-point lead at the top of the Premier Division table.
Elding struck for his seventh league goal of the season to put Sligo ahead on 15 minutes. Raffelle Cretaro nicked the ball off the toe of Shels' left-back Jack Memery to race clear before squaring to Elding who shot past keeper Niall Burdon.
The big Englishman was there again to seal the win with his second goal of the night on 59 minutes.
Cretaro again was the instigator, beating his marker to rifle in a shot which Burdon parried for Elding to force the ball home from the rebound after his first effort was stopped on the line.
