Forde determined to grab his chance

David Forde is hoping his lucky break will earn him a World Cup adventure with the Republic of Ireland.

The 33-year-old Millwall goalkeeper was handed a rare start for his country in the 2-0 friendly victory over Poland on Wednesday evening, and manager Giovanni Trapattoni has indicated that he could keep his place for next month’s qualifiers against Sweden and Austria.
