Forty-year-old keeper Mike Pollitt makes his first appearance since February 2011, whilst Danny Redmond has been handed only his second start for the Latics, who have never been beyond the fourth round as a Premier League club.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, who has presided over a 16-match unbeaten run, also makes changes, most notably leaving both veteran keeper David James and key man Brett Pitman on the bench.

Subs: Al Habsi, Henriquez, McArthur, Espinoza, Dicko, Kiernan, Campabadal.

Bournemouth: Jalal, Francis, Elphick, Cook, Daniels, McQuoid, O’Kane, Arter, Pugh, Tubbs, Hughes.

Subs: James, Partington, Fogden, Demouge, McDermott, Fletcher, Pitman.

Referee: Robert Madley.
