Benitez weighs up his options

Interim manager Rafael Benitez was today deciding how many changes to make for Chelsea’s Club World Cup semi-final against Monterrey.

Frank Lampard could make his first start since recovering from the calf problem that has blighted his season.

John Terry (knee) and Daniel Sturridge (hamstring) were left back in London, as was Oriol Romeu, who was yesterday ruled out for six months following knee surgery.
