Lukas Podolski has recovered from a virus after missing the midweek draw at Everton, Gervinho comes into the side with Olivier Giroud on the bench, while Laurent Koscielny (thigh) misses out.

Swansea, just a point behind the Gunners, are without winger Pablo Hernandez as referee Mark Clattenburg took charge of the match.
