Gareth Bale was left out of Tottenham’s starting line-up after his partner went in to labour just before today’s Barclays Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Tom Huddlestone replaced the Welshman while Brad Friedel and Gylfi Sigurdsson started in the place of Hugo Lloris and hip injury victim Mousa Dembele.
