Injury problems mount for Trapattoni

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni faces further disruption ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Germany and the Faroe Islands after suffering a double injury blow.

Central defender Sean St Ledger picked up a hamstring injury during Leicester’s 2-0 npower Championship victory over Bristol City yesterday, while winger James McClean reported a tightness in his groin following Sunderland’s 3-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at Manchester City.
