Sligo win moves them closer to first title in 35 years
Raffaele Cretaro scored twice as Sligo Rovers beat Derry City 4-1 to move eight points clear at the top of the Premier Division table with four games to play and closer to the cusp of a first league title in 35 years.
Before a crowd of over 4,000 at the Showgrounds, Sligo started positively with central defender Jason McGuinness heading narrowly wide from a Ross Gaynor cross as early as three minutes.
