Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed he was “quite relieved” at not being offered the England manager’s job.

Redknapp was the overwhelming favourite to take charge of the Three Lions’ post vacated by Fabio Capello earlier this year but was overlooked in favour of Roy Hodgson.
