Oman coach defends Trapattoni

Under-pressure manager Giovanni Trapattoni has received a big message of support from opposite number Paul Le Guen on the eve of the Republic of Ireland’s friendly against Oman.

Trapattoni’s position came into question earlier this summer when Ireland endured a disastrous Euro 2012 campaign which saw them lose all three games and score just one goal.
