Stoke have agreed a fee with Liverpool for Reds midfielder Charlie Adam.

The Potters had already confirmed that Adam was at their training ground this morning to undergo a medical with a view to a permanent move, and have now announced that agreement has been reached on a fee for the player.

It is believed Stoke were looking to pay around £4m (€5m) for the 26-year-old Scotland international.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “Stoke City have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Liverpool over the signing of Scottish international Charlie Adam.

“The 26-year-old midfielder is currently at the club’s Clayton Wood training ground for discussions over personal terms and to undergo a medical.”
