Fitness test for Etherington

Stoke will assess the condition of winger Matthew Etherington ahead of tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League clash with Wigan at the DW Stadium.

Etherington, sidelined for the last two games with a hamstring problem, has been doing some light running this week but it remains to be seen whether he will be ready to return, while midfielder Jamie Ness and striker Mamady Sidibe (both groin) are out.
