MK Dons have signed former Wigan and Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard on a short-term contract.

The 33-year-old, a free agent after being released by Ipswich earlier this month, has agreed an initial deal until December 31 at stadium:mk.

Bullard began his career at West Ham and has also had spells with Peterborough and Hull, who paid £5million for him in 2009.

He is the fifth signing Dons boss Karl Robinson has brought to the club this summer, joining Alan Smith, Jon Otsemobor, Ryan Lowe and Antony Kay.

Bullard was presented to the crowd prior to tonight’s Capital One Cup match at home to Blackburn and could make his debut against Carlisle at the weekend.
