Clark suspended for Villa's Tranmere tussle

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert may must make at least one change as he seeks a morale-boosting first win of the season against Tranmere in the Capital One Cup.

Defender Ciaran Clark is missing through suspension after his sending off against Everton at the weekend meaning Eric Lichaj or Enda Stevens could come in.

Villa still have other injury problems with striker Gabriel Agbonlahor (knee), winger Marc Albrighton (foot) and youngster Samir Carruthers (ankle) having been sidelined while defender Richard Dunne has been linked with a move to Stoke.
