Duo out for Hoops ahead of Champions League qualifier

Shamrock Rovers will get some welcome relief from their disappointing league campaign tonight as they take on FK Ekranas in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Aaron Greene and Ciaran Kilduff are both out, while there are slight doubts over the fitness of Ken Oman ahead of tonight's first leg at the Tallaght Stadium.

The Hoops created history last season when they became the first Irish club to make it to the group stages of a European competition.

The Lithunian champions are the favourites to progress after they were the seeded team in the draw, but Rovers manager Stephen Kenny believes that they have got the players to hurt their opponents.

Kick-off at the Tallaght Stadium is at 8pm.
