Sligo face trip to Slovakia in Europa League qualifier

Sligo Rovers have been drawn against Slovakian side, Spartak Trnava, in the second qualifying round draw in Nyon.

Trnava finished second in their League, two points behind Zilina and were knocked out by Lokomotiv Moscow in the third round of the Europa League last year.

The two League of Ireland teams drawn in the Europa League first qualifier round, St Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians, face trips to Iceland.

The Saints face IBV Vestmannaeyjar who they beat in the first qualifying round of last year’s competition, while Bohs will play Thor Akureyri from the country's second division.

The matches will take place on July 5 and 12.

Earlier, Shamrock Rovers were drawn against FK Ekranas from Lithuania in the Champions league second qualifying round.

The times and dates for the two legs have yet to be confirmed but the Hoops will be at home in the first game.
