Aston Villa will be without striker Andreas Weimann for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League game at Norwich after he suffered a medial ligament strain in the home draw against Tottenham last weekend.

Under-fire Villa manager Alex McLeish – already without Darren Bent (ankle) - will also check on the fitness of fellow forwards Emile Heskey (ankle) and Gabriel Agbonlahor (ribs).

Full-back Alan Hutton (shin) is also a major doubt after being on the receiving end of a challenge from Spurs’ Danny Rose which resulted in the defender being red-carded.

Provisional squad: Given, Guzan, Hutton, Lichaj, Dunne, Collins, Cuellar, Herd, Baker, Bannan, Clark, Gardner, Warnock, Ireland, N’Zogbia, Agbonlahor, Heskey, Marshall, Johnson, Stevens, Delfouneso.
