Olympic football tickets on sale tomorrow

London 2012 will put 1.4million tickets for the Olympic football tournament on sale from 11am tomorrow, organisers announced today.

The sales window will stay open until 11pm on Sunday May 6.

The other 1million Olympic tickets will go on sale in mid-May.

Tickets will be available for all but five matches: Great Britain men v Uruguay, the men's quarter-final and semi-final at Wembley, and the men's and women's final at Wembley.

Organisers say they are confident that the Ticketmaster system will avoid the problem that caused sales to be suspended in January.

The system should be able to cope with selling up to 250,000 tickets an hour.
