Monaghan seek to continue winning ways against Bray

Monaghan United will host Bray Wanderers looking to secure a second victory of the campaign to build on their impressive win at Bohemians last week.

A victory for the home side tonight would lift them off the bottom of the Premier Division, but they will be aware that Bray come into the tie on the back of a strong performance in holding Shamrock Rovers last time out.

Monaghan have defenders Alan Byrne and Aidan Collins back from recent injuries, but Keith Quinn and goalkeeper Chris Bennion are suspended.

Michael Schlingermann should start in goal while Willo McDonagh returns from suspension.

Monaghan manager Roddy Collins said: "Bray Wanderers also had a good outing last weekend and have to be disappointed in not putting away Shamrock Rovers when they were so dominant in the game. I am expecting a good evening’s football.”

Bray Wanderers continue without long term injury victims Shane O'Connor (groin) and Stephen Brennan (hamstring).

Bray's Director of Football Pat Devlin is expecting a tough time at Monaghan.

Devlin said: "It will be a different game in Monaghan – it's always difficult there. It's never easy against Monaghan and we can expect the same today, we are looking forward to it."
