Torres back on bench

Fernando Torres was back on the bench as Didier Drogba started Chelsea’s Barclays Premier League game against Tottenham today.

Fit-again John Terry returned to captain the Blues, who made a further two changes, drafting in Daniel Sturridge and Michael Essien.

Ledley King was not fit to skipper Spurs but Emmanuel Adebayor shook off a hamstring strain to lead the line, with Williams Gallas and Sandro also starting.
