Abou Diaby (hamstring) is out having just returned to action at Liverpool, while Mikel Arteta has been advised to rest after suffering a blow to the head in a collision with Jordan Henderson during Saturday’s 2-1 Barclays Premier League win.

Full-back Kieran Gibbs (groin/calf) is also a minor concern, while Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey (ankle), defender Francis Coquelin (hamstring), centre-back Per Mertesacker (ankle) and Brazil full-back Andre Santos (ankle) are all still out.
