Bassong could be fit for Toon trip
Wolves are hopeful defender Sebastien Bassong will be fit for their next match at his former club Newcastle on February 25.
The on-loan Tottenham man underwent a scan on the hamstring injury suffered during the 5-1 home defeat by West Brom and it has revealed a minor grade one tear.
Steve Kemp, head of Wolves’ medical department, said: “The scan has revealed a grade one tear and Sebastien has started his rehabilitation at Compton (training ground).
“We’ll see how it progresses but, if he makes a good recovery, he’ll have a chance of being available for the trip to Newcastle.”
