Hoops lodge Majstorovic appeal

Celtic have lodged an appeal with the Scottish Football Association against Daniel Majstorovic’s sending-off at the weekend.

The Hoops defender was shown a straight red card by referee Steven McLean for a last man challenge on Jonny Hayes during Saturday‘s 1-0 win over Inverness in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

The SFA have confirmed that a fast track player reference has been received in relation to a “claim of wrongful dismissal for denying the opposing team a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity.”

The matter will be dealt with by a fast track tribunal on Thursday.
