The Republic of Ireland will face Hungary in their final warm-up game ahead of the Euro 2012 finals.

The Football Association of Ireland today confirmed that Giovanni Trapattoni’s men will play a friendly in Budapest on June 4.

Ireland will meet the Czech Republic at the Aviva Stadium on February 29, but begin their preparations in earnest when Bosnia-Herzegovina head for Dublin on May 26.

They will set off for their pre-tournament training camp in Montecatini, Italy the following day before their date with the Hungarians.

Trapattoni and his players will travel from Budapest to their base in Gdynia, Poland the next day, and will open their campaign against Croatia in Poznan on June 10.
